So as many already know I have gotten a case of the competitive BBQ bug. After doing 4 contests last year and having relative success once I realized the judges dont like the same BBQ as I do – I quickly learned that unless I want to keep renting a U-haul for each contest and load and unload and load and unload and load and unload and well you get the idea the u-haul each week. It is necessary to step up and get a trailer. So I decided to sell my jeep and use the proceeds to buy a trailer. After months of researching (far more than I care for) and talking to folks I have finally settled on a trailer. I have decided to go with Cargo South to manufacture the trailer. I am purchasing it from Dennis at Viper Motorsports in Washington MO. Order was placed on Friday and we have some loose ends to tie up on Monday after that I should expect it ready in 8-9 weeks. Was really hoping to get it before our first contest at the end of April. Most likely will have to U-haul it beverly hillbilly style (footnote Ryan Mac for the moniker) for 1 or 2 more contests, maybe the judges will be sympathetic to my u-haul and spot me some extra points……prolly not.
