Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!?!?!?!?! These Bacon Wrapped Cheese Stuffed Meatballs are perfect tailgate recipe for your next football party! They are sure to be a touchdown! You can make ahead of time in the oven or on your pit.
I like to use different cheeses to stuff in the the meatballs to give each guest a surprise bite of tailgate food excellence. As Forrest Gump said – Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get. Your guests will never know if the center of the meatball is going to burst with pepper jack, cheddar, mozzarella or swiss.
I would plan on making at least 3 or 4 for each guest coming depending how many other items you will have. These go quick!! I also like to put a toothpick in them once they are done so your guests can have a handle to eat them with and not get their fingers wet with sauce even tho I encourage wet fingers some people don’t like them.
These are very easy to prepare and are always a hit – if you want to make them even easier skip the cheese and they will still be great!
-Preheat the oven or pit to 300
-Take meatball if you use frozen from the store thaw in refrigerator overnight – place cheese inside and wrap meatball in bacon
-season with your favorite rub
-into the oven for 1 hour
-see how they look if they are to your liking pull em if not let em go for 15 more minutes
-Dunk in your favorite spicy sauce
-set back in pit for 15 minutes
-eat em fast as they won’t last long!
